Forecasters say Friday will bring drier and sunnier weather to Latvia, although fairly strong, gusty winds are expected to continue.
Overnight
During the night before Friday, brief rain showers are still expected in many areas. Winds will blow from the west and northwest, with gusts reaching up to 15 meters per second, and up to 20 meters per second along the coast. Nighttime air temperatures will range from +8 to +12 degrees Celsius, with coastal areas seeing up to +16 degrees in places.
Daytime
During the day, sunshine will alternate with clouds, and brief rain is still possible in places in the eastern part of the country. Winds from the west and northwest will continue, with gusts of 9–14 meters per second, weakening toward evening. Daytime air temperatures will rise to between +16 and +20 degrees.
In Riga
In the capital, rain is expected in places overnight and in the morning, with no further precipitation later in the day. Wind gusts could reach 15 meters per second. Temperatures will range from +12 degrees at night to as high as +19 degrees in the afternoon.
