Friday to Bring Warmer Weather to Latvia

On Thursday night, skies will clear in some areas of Latvia, but rain will continue in many places, with heavy rain expected in spots at the start of the night. Precipitation intensity will decrease towards morning. A north to northeast wind will gust up to 15-16 m/s along the coast, gradually calming through the night and becoming light across the country by morning. Nighttime temperatures will drop to 10-15°C.

In Riga, the night will be cloudy with occasional rain. A light to moderate north wind will blow, and the minimum temperature will be 13-14°C.

During the day, the cyclone center will move south of Latvia, leading to clearing skies. Rain will be limited to a few places, mainly in the southern part of the country. The wind will be light to moderate, mostly from the north. Air temperatures will rise to 18-22°C.

In the capital, the sun will appear intermittently between clouds, but brief showers are possible in the afternoon. A light north wind will persist, and the maximum temperature will reach 20-22°C.
