Sunny spells expected in Latvia as working week ends
Friday will bring variable, partly sunny weather across Latvia with temperatures reaching up to +20 degrees. Brief rain is still possible in some areas in the morning before conditions turn drier.
The final day of the working week will bring light and variable cloud cover across Latvia, according to weather forecasters.
In the morning, brief rain showers are still possible in parts of the central and eastern regions, though conditions are expected to dry out as the day progresses. Winds will blow from the west and northwest, gusting up to 9-14 meters per second, weakening to a light breeze by evening.
Daytime air temperatures will range between +16 and +20 degrees.
Weather in Riga
In the capital, sunshine will be intermittently covered by clouds, with a chance of brief rain in the morning. Gusty northwesterly winds will gradually shift to a lighter westerly breeze, and temperatures will climb to +19 degrees.
Current weather conditions are being shaped by a zone of elevated atmospheric pressure. Pressure continues to rise, standing between 1009 and 1016 hectopascals at sea level in the morning.
