Demand for smaller home loans without mortgage rises
More people are choosing to finance home renovations, heating replacements or small property purchases without a mortgage, according to Inbank.

Inbank lending manager Ingūna Krieva explains that home financing does not always mean a mortgage. People increasingly look for solutions for specific tasks – roof replacement, heating system upgrades, bathroom renovations or even buying a summer house.
Common scenarios include redesigning apartment layouts in standard buildings, renovating country houses, and reacting quickly to land or property offers. Krieva emphasizes that motivation often stems from necessity rather than aesthetics – for example, a leaky roof or inefficient heating.
Such loans are especially relevant in regions, where people want to preserve family homes or purchase land. Amounts range from a few thousand to 30,000 euros, and a single payout provides flexibility in planning renovation work.
Krieva notes that it is crucial to clearly define the goal and ensure the monthly payment fits the budget.
