Since the end of May, the financial institution Altum has been offering interest-free loans to entrepreneurs in border regions. One of the criteria for obtaining the loan is a set state aid limit – de minimis. In other words, the interest on the loan is covered by reducing the amount of de minimis support. Consequently, farmers worry that they may later lack sufficient de minimis limit to participate in other programs, reports Latvian Television.
