13 Injured in Road Accidents on Monday
Latvia recorded 137 road traffic accidents on Monday, resulting in 13 injuries, with the highest concentration in the Riga region.

According to data from the State Police, Latvia experienced 137 road traffic accidents on Monday. The majority occurred in the Riga region with 89 incidents, followed by 15 each in Kurzeme and Latgale, 11 in Vidzeme, and 7 in Zemgale.
A total of 13 people sustained injuries. In the Riga region, ten individuals were injured, including two cyclists and two electric scooter riders. One injured person was reported in each of the Vidzeme, Kurzeme, and Latgale regions.
Authorities issued 520 administrative penalty decisions for traffic violations, of which 199 were for speeding. Two administrative proceedings and two criminal proceedings were initiated for driving under the influence of alcohol, and one criminal proceeding was started for suspected driving under the influence of narcotic substances.
