Cyclone to Bring Rain and Gusty Winds on Monday
The Latvian Environment, Geology and Meteorology Centre warns of heavy rain, thunderstorms and strong wind gusts, especially along the coast, as a cyclone passes over the country on 20 July.
On Monday, 20 July, a cyclone will move across Latvia, bringing heavy rain, local thunderstorms and powerful gusts of wind, particularly in coastal areas, according to the Latvian Environment, Geology and Meteorology Centre. Forecasters note that the wind could be especially strong near the sea, advising residents to exercise caution. The precipitation may be intense, with a possibility of temporary localised flooding in some areas.
