Thunderstorms expected in parts of Latvia on Monday

Rain clouds are expected to develop across a large part of Latvia on Monday, according to a forecast from the Latvian Environment, Geology and Meteorology Centre. In some areas, this will bring heavy downpours and possible thunderstorms.
Winds will blow from the west at a light to moderate pace, though sharp gusts of up to 15 metres per second are possible in places during storms. The day's maximum air temperature will range between +18 and +22 degrees Celsius.
Conditions in Riga
In the capital, skies will gradually cloud over. Light rain is expected on and off from midday, with a thunderstorm possible in the afternoon. Winds will remain light to moderate from the west, and the air will warm to +20..+21 degrees.
