Monday brings rain and fog across Latvia, temperatures up to +19°C
Latvia will see mild but rainy autumn weather on Monday, with fog forming in parts of the country. Daytime temperatures will rise to as high as +19°C.
Overnight into Monday, September 14, clouds will spread across Latvia, bringing intermittent rain to most of the country. Forecasters at the Latvian Environment, Geology and Meteorology Centre say conditions will favor fog formation in parts of the country, particularly in the Vidzeme and Kurzeme regions. Winds will remain light overnight, while temperatures will drop to between +10 and +15 degrees.
Rain is also expected overnight in Riga, where skies will be overcast and the temperature will not fall below +13 to +14 degrees.
Cloudy start to the day
Monday will begin cloudy across the country, though by afternoon skies will gradually clear in the northwestern regions. Elsewhere, intermittent rain will continue. Winds will stay light, and fog will linger in some areas during the morning hours. Daytime temperatures will climb to between +15 and +19 degrees.
In Riga, clouds will mostly cover the sky during the day, with occasional light rain still possible. Winds in the capital will remain light, while the temperature will reach +17 to +18 degrees.
