Monday to bring mostly dry, partly sunny weather across Latvia
On the last day of August, Latvia will see mild, mostly dry weather with brief rain only in the east, as temperatures climb up to +25 degrees.

Meteorologists forecast mostly dry conditions across Latvia on Monday, August 31, with only brief rain expected in isolated spots, primarily in the eastern part of the country.
Skies will be partly cloudy, though sunshine is expected to break through in places. Wind will blow light to moderate from the southwest, with gusts reaching up to 13 meters per second in Kurzeme and Vidzeme during the first half of the day.
Air temperatures will vary considerably across the country, ranging from +19 degrees near the coast to +25 degrees in Latgale, which will see the warmest weather.
Weather in Riga
The capital is expected to stay dry on Monday, with occasional sunshine and light to moderate southwesterly wind. Temperatures in Riga will reach up to +23 degrees.
Forecasters note that current weather conditions are being shaped by a low-pressure area. Sea-level atmospheric pressure ranges from 1007 hectopascals in northern Kurzeme to 1013 hectopascals in southeastern Latgale.
