Clouds and rain to reach Latvia on Monday, warmth to persist in places
On Monday clouds and rain will move across Latvia from the west, while the eastern part of the country stays drier and warmer. Temperatures in places will reach up to +26 degrees.

Monday's weather in Latvia will be shaped by a low-pressure trough and an atmospheric front approaching from the west, forecasters say. Skies will gradually cloud over, with rain expected in many areas.
The eastern part of the country, however, is not expecting any precipitation during the day. Winds will blow from the south and southwest at a light to moderate pace, with gusts strengthening to 9–14 metres per second.
Temperature
Daytime air temperatures will rise to between +23 and +26 degrees, while the western coast of Kurzeme will be cooler, around +20 to +22 degrees.
Riga will start the day sunny, with temperatures in the capital reaching up to +26 degrees. In the afternoon, however, skies over the city will begin to cloud over, and rain is expected by evening. A moderate southerly wind will blow in Riga.
Sea-level air pressure will vary across the country, ranging from 1012 hectopascals in Kurzeme to 1019 hectopascals in Latgale, reflecting the difference in weather conditions between the western and eastern parts of Latvia.
