Up to +27°C Expected Before Holidays, but Jāņi Night May Bring Rain
Latvia will enjoy warm weather up to +27°C this weekend, but the night of Jāņi (Midsummer) may bring rain and thunderstorms.

According to the Latvian Environment, Geology and Meteorology Centre, Friday night will be cloudy, with clouds clearing from the northwest during the day. Isolated rain is expected in eastern and central regions. Winds will be light. Nighttime temperatures will drop to +13…+15°C, while daytime highs will reach +18…+23°C.
Saturday will be mostly sunny with only a few clouds and no significant precipitation. On Sunday, cloud cover will increase, and rain will begin in many areas from the morning, with locally possible thunderstorms. Saturday night temperatures will fall to +9…+14°C, and fog may form in many places due to light winds. Daytime temperatures on Saturday will rise to +22…+27°C, slightly cooler along the coast. Sunday night will see +14…+19°C, with daytime highs of +20…+25°C, again cooler at the coast.
Next week will start relatively dry, but from Wednesday onwards, rain and thunderstorms will become more frequent. As of the current forecast, Līgo Day (June 23) will remain calm with no significant rain. However, during Jāņi night, a large rain zone will approach Latvia – rain is expected from the second half of the night and during the day. The forecast may still change, so residents are advised to stay updated.
