The Pitbull concert scheduled for Wednesday at the Mežaparks Grand Stage was canceled on Tuesday evening due to technical problems that arose during the stage construction. Organizers stated that the remaining time was insufficient to safely resolve the issues according to required standards.

Despite the cancellation, fans began gathering around 8 PM near the venue. According to LA.LV reports, there were about 60 people on site, and the crowd gradually grew. Pitbull's music was playing, many fans were dressed in the artist's style, and the atmosphere was bittersweet but cheerful. At the same time, an ambulance and three police cars were present at the scene.

The State Police and Riga Municipal Police worked in reinforced mode on Wednesday to ensure public order. Authorities urged residents not to participate in unauthorized gatherings, warning that administrative liability could be imposed. So far, the situation is considered calm, and police continue to monitor the area.

Economy Minister Viktors Valainis, after a meeting with the Consumer Rights Protection Center and organizers, indicated that the concert might be rescheduled. Consumers have the right to request a refund within 14 days of the cancellation or wait for information about a rescheduled concert, where current tickets would remain valid.
