Just one day before the scheduled event, the concert by American musician Pitbull in Mežaparks was cancelled. The concert agency FBI cited technical problems that arose during stage construction as the reason for the cancellation. Organizers did not provide further details.
This sudden cancellation has already impacted the hospitality industry, with initial booking cancellations reported. Meanwhile, the Consumer Rights Protection Centre (PTAC) stated it will closely monitor that consumer rights are respected, specifically that money spent on tickets is refunded.
