Pixel 11a might return to a flagship processor with Tensor G6
A leaked report suggests the Google Pixel 11a could feature the flagship Tensor G6 chip instead of an older processor, reversing a trend from the Pixel 10a.

New Leak on Pixel 11a
The Verge, citing Mystic Leaks, reports that Google's upcoming budget Pixel 11a might return to using a flagship-level processor. The leak indicates the device will be powered by the Tensor G6, rather than the Tensor G5 found in the Pixel 10 and 10 Pro.
This marks a shift from the Pixel 10a, which shipped with the previous-generation Tensor G4 – a disappointment since earlier A-series phones kept the latest processor but cut corners elsewhere.
Improvements and Specs
According to the leak, the Tensor G6 will feature the same PowerVR DXT-48-1536 GPU as the G5, but that still represents an upgrade over the Mali-G715 in the G4. The major change is the modem: moving from Samsung's Exynos to a MediaTek M90 modem. This should address two longstanding issues with Tensor chips – battery drain and dropped signals.
The Pixel 11a is expected to have a slightly smaller battery at 4,870mAh compared to the 10a's 5,000mAh, but efficiency gains from the new processor may keep battery life the same or even improve it slightly.
The display remains a 6.3-inch 1080x2424 panel with a variable 60-120Hz refresh rate, but peak brightness increases from 3,000 to 3,350 nits.
As with all leaks, this information is unconfirmed and should be treated with caution until Google makes an official announcement.
