The National Library of Latvia (LNB) is set to revise its fee structure by raising prices for current paid services and introducing new ones. A key change is a 3-euro entrance fee for touring the library building, known as Gaismas pils (Castle of Light), without a guide. However, holders of a reader's card will continue to access the library for free. The library's management states that these adjustments are part of a sustainable development plan. The government is expected to rule on the proposed changes in mid-August.
