Plaud unveils AI earbuds that record and transcribe conversations
Plaud has launched a new AI wearable shaped like earbuds that can record, transcribe and summarize conversations. The Plaud One Explorer Edition is available for preorder at $249.99.
Plaud, previously known for its pin-shaped AI recording device, has introduced a new wearable in the form of earbuds. The Plaud One Explorer Edition can be worn as regular earbuds or used through a separate charging case equipped with built-in 4G, allowing conversations to be uploaded and processed without needing a phone or Wi-Fi connection.
Specifications
Each earbud holds 16MB of local storage, for a combined 32MB, and contains three microphones capable of picking up audio from up to two meters away. Battery life and recording time both reach up to six hours. The earbuds also feature noise cancellation and pressure-sensitive stem controls.
The charging case adds four microphones with a five-meter pickup range, a built-in speaker, 512MB of storage, and a combined battery life of up to 36 hours, rechargeable via USB-C.
AI features and integrations
Transcription and summarization run on Plaud Intelligence, which the company describes as built to "understand and execute on human intent." An AI button on the charging case triggers "Plaud Agent," which connects directly with tools such as Gmail, Google Calendar, Notion, and Slack, so users don't need to switch between apps.
Price and availability
The Plaud One is priced at $249.99 and is now open for preorder in select markets, with shipments expected to begin in late September.
