Latvian beach volleyball players Mārtiņš Pļaviņš and Kristians Fokerots concluded the group stage of the Elite 16 level tournament in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, with a win on Friday. The pair earned their third victory in three group matches, finishing the group phase without a loss. As a result, Pļaviņš and Fokerots have secured a spot in the round of 16, where they will continue their campaign.
The Latvian duo won all of their matches during the group stage. From the opening match, they consistently achieved victories, and this pattern held through the final group game.
