Latvian beach volleyball pair Mārtiņš Pļaviņš and Kristians Fokerots celebrated their third group-stage victory on Friday at the Elite16 tournament in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.
The Latvians concluded the group stage without a single loss, finishing with a perfect record of three wins from three matches. That result earned them a place in the round of 16, where they will play their next match.
Pļaviņš and Fokerots have been competing at the Elite16 event, a high-level stop on the professional beach volleyball tour. Their consistent performance in Rio has kept them in contention, and they will now prepare for the first knockout round.
