Latvia’s top beach volleyball pair, Mārtiņš Pļaviņš and Kristians Fokerots, have achieved their biggest success of the season. They won one of the most prestigious events on the professional tour, an Elite 16 tournament held in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. In the final, the Latvians defeated a French duo 2-0.
This victory marks a historic moment for Latvian beach volleyball, as no Latvian pair had previously claimed a title at a Beach Pro World Tour stage.
