Plex experiences widespread outage
Plex users are reporting major service disruptions, including issues with streaming, API, and live TV. The company has acknowledged the problems but has not yet provided an official comment.

Many Plex users have been experiencing significant service outages today, with complaints flooding the company's forums and Reddit. One user reported that essentially all Plex services are down, except for local LAN playback, which is also slow and unreliable. Others have encountered difficulties with automatic content matching on their servers.
Jay Peters, a senior reporter at The Verge, observed that the Plex TV website initially loaded very slowly, though it began to work more reliably as he was writing the story.
Plex has confirmed the issues on its status page, noting problems with free streaming movies and shows, the plex.tv API, Discover Together, and program guide data for live TV. The disruptions have been ongoing for more than an hour.
The company did not immediately respond to a request for comment. However, on X, Plex acknowledged the issues, stating that they are currently aware and investigating unexpected problems with live TV, on-demand services, and API services, and directed users to the Plex Status page.
