Ukraine reports 23 Russian assaults near Pokrovsk in one day

Ukraine's General Staff says Russian forces launched 23 assaults near Pokrovsk over the past 24 hours, the highest count of any front-line sector, amid 176 total clashes along the line of contact.

Ukraine's General Staff reported in its evening update, covering the situation as of 22:00, that Russian forces carried out 23 assaults near Pokrovsk since the start of the day on September 18. This figure was the highest recorded among all sectors of the front line.

Across the entire line of contact, a total of 176 combat clashes were recorded during the day. According to the report, Russian forces conducted 57 air strikes, dropping 192 guided aerial bombs, deployed 5,814 kamikaze drones, and carried out 2,020 shelling attacks on populated areas and Ukrainian military positions.

Clashes in other sectors

After Pokrovsk, the Kostiantynivka sector saw 13 clashes and the Huliaipole sector recorded 10. The South-Slobozhanske sector registered 10 clashes, the Lyman sector 4, the Kupiansk and Sloviansk sectors 3 each, and the Kramatorsk and Orikhiv sectors 1 each.

The figures indicate that the Pokrovsk sector remains one of the most intense points of fighting along the entire front, with Russian forces concentrating a significant share of their offensive effort there.
