Ukraine reports 23 attacks in Pokrovsk direction over past day

Ukraine's General Staff says 176 combat clashes occurred along the front line over the past day, with the highest concentration in the Pokrovsk direction. Russian forces used hundreds of airstrikes, thousands of drones and extensive artillery fire.

Ukraine's General Staff, in a report covering the situation as of 22:00 on September 18, said 176 combat clashes had taken place along the line of contact since the start of the day.

The Pokrovsk direction saw the highest number of attacks, with 23 clashes recorded there, confirming it remains one of the most heavily contested sections of the front. The Kostiantynivka direction followed with 13 clashes, while the Pivdenno-Slobozhanske and Huliaipole directions each recorded 10.

Breakdown by direction

According to the General Staff, the remaining clashes were distributed as follows: 4 in the Lyman direction, 3 each in the Kupiansk and Sloviansk directions, and 1 each in the Kramatorsk and Orikhiv directions.

Weapons used by Russian forces

The General Staff reported that Russian forces carried out 57 airstrikes over the past day, dropping 192 guided aerial bombs. In addition, the enemy deployed 5,814 kamikaze drones and conducted 2,020 shelling attacks against populated areas and Ukrainian troop positions.

The General Staff noted that the figures reflect the situation along the front for the full day and are updated regularly, offering an overview of combat intensity across the various sections of Ukraine's front line.
