Police Search for Missing Person Peteris Ekis

State Police are asking for help locating Peteris Ekis, born 2003, who last contacted his family from Tbilisi on June 21.

The State Police of Latvia have launched a search for Peteris Ekis, born in 2003, who has been reported missing. According to the police, the young man last communicated with his family on June 21 of this year while he was in Tbilisi, Georgia. Since then, his whereabouts have been unknown.

Authorities urge anyone with information about the possible location of Peteris Ekis to immediately contact the emergency number 112. The public is also asked to look at the young man's photograph, which has been released by the police.

This case is among several missing person incidents that have recently come to the attention of law enforcement. Other cases include the disappearance of 13-year-old Veronika Markelova in Riga, Igor Sadov who was last seen in Ogre, and Nikola Pocjus from Olaine, who has been missing for nearly two weeks. Unfortunately, not all searches end successfully – recently, Dmitrijs, who went missing in France, was found deceased.

The State Police continue to work on all missing person cases and call on the public to remain vigilant and report any information that could help locate the missing individuals.
