The State Police in Riga are searching for a missing man, Oļegs Želudevičs, born in 1969. He was last seen on 20 September at the "Malnavas iela" public transport stop in Riga, heading in the direction of Ķengarags. The search is being carried out by officers of the Riga East Division of the State Police's Riga Region Department, who recently received a report about his disappearance.

How to recognise him

The police have released a description of the man. He is 180 centimetres tall and has red hair. His distinguishing features are that parts of two fingers are missing on one hand, and that he has a scar on his back. These details may help anyone who has seen him to identify him.

What police are asking

The State Police urge the public to look at the man's photograph, which the force has published together with its announcement. Anyone who knows where he might be, or who can provide any information about his whereabouts, is asked to call 112.

The source does not say under what circumstances the man went missing and gives no further details about how the search is progressing. So far, police have made public only the place where he was last seen, his physical description and the appeal for help from the public.
