Police seek witnesses after road surface and barrier damaged in Vecāķi

Riga Municipal Police have appealed to the public for help in an investigation into an act of vandalism in the Vecāķi area of Riga. The incident occurred on the evening of August 6, between 10:40 pm and 11:20 pm, on Vecāķu Avenue opposite building No. 32E.

According to police, unidentified individuals painted over the road surface and damaged a safety barrier installed there during that time window. The police announced the appeal on social media, asking anyone with information about the incident or about possible suspects to come forward.

Police noted that any information could be useful, whether about the course of events itself or about individuals who may have been involved in damaging the road and the barrier.

The circumstances of the case are still being clarified, and police continue working to identify those responsible.
