Polish foreign minister: quick victory possible if Russia attacks directly

The statement comes after a Russian drone hit a passenger train locomotive near the Polish border.

According to Ua.news, the minister pointed to Poland's decisive advantage over Russia in air power as one of the key factors that could shape the outcome of any potential conflict.
Sikorski based his claim on a comparison with Ukraine's success in targeting Russia's oil sector. He noted that Ukraine managed to knock out roughly half of Russia's oil refining capacity within about six months. In his view, Poland could achieve a similar result in just six weeks, and would then go on to destroy the remaining capacity as well.
Tensions at the border
The statement comes as tensions near the Ukrainian-Polish border continue to rise. Ukrainian outlet Unian reported that a Russian drone struck the locomotive of a passenger train just two kilometers from the Polish border. Thanks to a timely warning from a monitoring group to the train crew, no one was injured in the incident.
Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha also responded to the strikes near the Ukrainian-Polish border in Yahodyn, describing them as a continuation of attacks on Ukraine's state borders. He characterized the strikes as terror orchestrated by Russian President Vladimir Putin, aimed directly at the European Union and NATO.
