32 Fetuses Found at Construction Site in Poland; Pathologist Suspected

On Wednesday, June 11, during excavations at a 500-square-meter construction site in Rzeszów, Poland, dozens of unborn children's remains were uncovered. Among the debris were scraps of medical documents, tubes, containers, and a microscope cover slip.
Prosecutor Krzysztof Cechanowski of the Rzeszów District Prosecutor's Office confirmed on Friday that medical experts dispatched to the scene determined the remains to be human fetuses or fragments from early developmental stages. In total, 32 fetal remains were identified.
Police have named a 57-year-old pathologist as a suspect. Further details about the case are not yet being disclosed.
