Polish President Nawrocki hits record trust rating at 54.8%

Polish President Karol Nawrocki now leads the trust ranking with 54.8%, the highest ever recorded in such polls, surpassing Szymon Hołownia's previous record. The increase is linked to his decision to revoke the Order of the White Eagle awarded to Ukrainian President Zelenskyy.

Polish President Karol Nawrocki has achieved a record-high trust rating, according to an IBRiS poll commissioned by Onet. In June, 54.8% of respondents expressed trust in Nawrocki, up by 8.4 percentage points from May. This is the highest level ever recorded in such surveys, surpassing Szymon Hołownia's previous record of 54.4% set in winter 2024.

The poll shows that 23.8% of respondents said they „definitely trust” the president, while 31% „rather trust” him. Conversely, 39.3% expressed distrust, and 8.8% had no opinion. The rise in Nawrocki's trust rating may be directly linked to his decision on June 19 to revoke the Order of the White Eagle awarded to Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy. The poll data was collected from June 19 to 21.

Foreign Minister Radosław Sikorski came second with 42.6%, a drop of 0.1 percentage point since May. Prime Minister Donald Tusk ranked third with 38.1% (up 1.5 points), though 57.6% of respondents distrust him. Fourth was Sejm Speaker Włodzimierz Czarzasty with 36%, followed by former Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki of the opposition Law and Justice party with 35.3%.

Liberal Warsaw Mayor Rafał Trzaskowski saw a significant drop of 5.6 percentage points to 32.5%, likely due to a scandal involving a city hospital. Far-right Confederation leader Krzysztof Bosak also lost 5.1 points, with 29.9% trust in June. In contrast, Grzegorz Braun of the even more radical Confederation of the Polish Crown unexpectedly rose by 7.3 points to 23.7%.
