Pauline Hanson at London CPAC: 'Sick of hearing about white privilege'

One Nation leader Pauline Hanson told the CPAC London audience she fears for England and is tired of discussions about white privilege. She also denied a rift with party colleague Barnaby Joyce and addressed her trip to a Dolce & Gabbana show in Sicily.

Pauline Hanson, the leader of Australia's One Nation party, spoke at the inaugural British edition of the Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC) in London, alongside Nigel Farage and former UK Prime Minister Liz Truss.

In a speech livestreamed on YouTube, Hanson said Australia is following Britain down a path of cultural decline, blaming mass immigration, multiculturalism, Islam, net zero policies, and 'woke' ideology. She described Tower Hamlets in East London as feeling like 'another country' and expressed fear for England, claiming Australia is five to ten years behind.

"Do not apologise for being white. I'm sick of hearing about white privilege. We are all human beings. We must learn from the mistakes of the past, but we don't repeat that in reverse now, and I see that happening," Hanson said.

She also addressed a conference dinner on Friday, from which media were reportedly barred. According to leaked audio reported by Nine newspapers, Hanson told attendees that 'immigration is destroying our country as it has destroyed yours.'

Hanson denied rumours of a rift with One Nation recruit Barnaby Joyce over her European tour and podcast with far-right British activist Tommy Robinson. In a video filmed in London, she called Joyce 'my mate' and said they get on well. Joyce also denied a rift, telling Channel Nine that people were 'trying to divide us up.'

However, Joyce later disagreed with Hanson's claim that Islam is 'based on terrorism,' and Australia's Islamophobia envoy warned that such language could have violent consequences.

Earlier in the week, Hanson took a break from her UK trip to attend a Dolce & Gabbana fashion show in Sicily with Australia's richest person, Gina Rinehart. She denied that the trip cost taxpayers anything but did not detail how costs were covered. Joyce said it was 'a fair bet' Rinehart paid. Hanson also criticized Liberal leader Angus Taylor, who said she was 'living it up' in Italy instead of addressing the cost of living crisis in Australia.
