On Sunday, a Russian attack on a critical infrastructure facility in Poltava Oblast caused a leak of a hazardous chemical substance. The State Emergency Service of Ukraine reported that the leak occurred as a result of the strike, but the danger has been fully neutralized.

Chemical protection specialists from the emergency service managed to seal the damaged containers and leakage points despite challenging conditions. Thanks to their rapid response, the facility can continue operating safely.

The attack involved drones that hit two industrial facilities and a critical infrastructure site in the Poltava district on the morning of 2 August. The incident led to temporary emergency power and gas supply outages.
