Popular creator Arigo Toro's account disappears from Instagram

Content creator Arigo Toro, better known as Aldis Gobzems, has disappeared from Instagram since last night. He was one of Latvia's most prominent creators on the platform, with more than 140,000 followers.

Followers noticed that both his stories and other posts vanished, prompting many to ask each other on social media what had happened — some even suspected they had been blocked by him.

Creator confirms the issue

LA.LV managed to reach Arigo directly, who confirmed that his profile is indeed currently not publicly accessible due to some kind of technical problem. He said the exact reason is not yet fully clear, but he expects to find out soon.

Arigo urged followers not to follow the numerous fake accounts that have reportedly sprung up impersonating him in the meantime. His accounts on other social media platforms remain active and unaffected.

Possible explanations

Commenting on the situation with humor, Arigo suggested several possibilities — the account could have been hacked, there could have been a technical glitch, or, as he joked, it could be the work of police, whom he often refers to in his content as "Ruka's jokers," a reference to State Police chief Armands Ruks.

No official explanation from Instagram has been given so far, and the situation remains ongoing.
