Porsche Enhances Taycan Models with New Features and Extended Range

Porsche has introduced comprehensive updates to the entire Taycan lineup, focusing on emotional driving experience, track performance, and digital interfaces. A key addition is the E-Shift system, which simulates gear shifts using eight virtual gears operated via steering wheel paddles. It is paired with an enhanced Porsche Electric Sport Sound and a virtual tachometer to strengthen the connection between driver and car.

For the first time on an electric sports car, a Manthey performance kit is available, previously offered only for GT models. The kit includes aerodynamic, chassis, and drivetrain modifications and can be installed at the factory on the Taycan Turbo GT with the Weissach package. With this kit, Lars Kern set a new lap record at the Nürburgring Nordschleife for electric luxury cars at 6:55.533 minutes.

Rear-wheel-drive Taycan models now come with low rolling resistance summer tires, which, combined with the Performance Battery Plus, enable a WLTP range of up to 700 km. These tires are optimized for long-distance and city driving and are available in Europe and EU countries.

The updated models feature a next-generation infotainment system with intuitive operation, AI voice control, smart navigation, and a Themes app. The system boasts a modern minimalist design, a 3D car model in the customer's actual color, freely configurable widgets, and an improved voice assistant called Voice Pilot. Apple CarPlay and Android Auto integration have been enhanced, along with navigation offering precise online route calculation and 3D building views.

The new Porsche Communication Management (PCM) offers up to five times more computing power, while wireless charging speed has increased to 25 watts, about 1.5 times faster than before. Taycan 2027 models are now available for ordering at all Porsche centers.
