Ronaldo opened the scoring in the sixth minute, receiving a cross from João Cancelo and firing a right-footed shot into the net. He celebrated with his teammates by running toward the bench. In the 39th minute, he doubled his tally after a pass from Bruno Fernandes, slotting the ball with his right foot just inside the near post to make it 3-0.
