Liepāja is gearing up for two major events: the concert of the band “Prāta Vētra” on July 18 and the beach festival “Summer Sound” at the end of the month. These events traditionally create high demand for accommodation, with prices soaring to as much as €1,900 per night, as reported by the portal liepajniekiem.lv.

According to tourism data, Liepāja has over 400 tourist accommodations with nearly 3,500 beds. However, availability changes rapidly during events. On the morning of June 6, booking.com listed 59 accommodations for the night of July 18–19, most of which were apartments. The next day, the number rose to 65, indicating a dynamic market.

The cheapest option for two adults was a campsite 17.2 km from the city center and the holiday home “Gypsy Camp Apartments & Glamping” at €100 per night. The “SportHotel” offered a room for €130, but only one was left. An apartment in the northern suburbs also cost €130 (down from €162). Prices then climbed from €150 up to €960 for a three-bedroom apartment in the city center that sleeps up to six people.

On Airbnb, 27 listings were available on June 16, but one—an apartment in Zaļā birzs for €140—had disappeared by the next day. Overall, accommodation prices range from €100 to as high as €1,900, depending on type and location.
