Traffic restrictions in Preiļi center until August 14 due to reconstruction
Due to reconstruction works in the center of Preiļi, traffic restrictions will apply on Brīvības, Daugavpils and Aglonas streets until August 14. A section of Daugavpils Street will be closed until August 6, followed by a partial closure of Aglonas Street from August 6 to 14.
In connection with the ongoing reconstruction of Preiļi center, traffic restrictions will be in effect until August 14 on Brīvības, Daugavpils and Aglonas streets.
First stage: Daugavpils Street section closed
Until August 6, due to heat main construction works, the section of Daugavpils Street from Aglonas Street to Talsu Street will be completely closed. A detour route for all vehicles will be organized via Talsu Street, Raiņa Boulevard and Aglonas Street. Pedestrians will be able to use the existing sidewalks.
Second stage: Partial closure of Aglonas Street
From August 6 to 14, during heat main construction, part of the roadway on Aglonas Street between Daugavpils Street and Raiņa Boulevard will be closed. Traffic in each direction will be maintained through two narrowed lanes, while pedestrian movement will continue to be provided on existing sidewalks.
Residents and visitors should expect temporary changes related to the renewal of the city center infrastructure.
