PM's promised simplification of construction approvals still delayed

Nearly two months have passed since Prime Minister Andris Kulbergs of the United List pledged to quickly simplify the procedure for approving construction projects, but no concrete solution or introduction date has emerged. The prime minister's statement concerned the way private individuals and companies coordinate construction approvals. Despite the pledge, neither a final proposal nor a timeline for implementation has been made public.

At present, construction approvals appear to be continuing under the existing rules, as no new solution is available. Those affected by the procedure — both individuals and businesses — are still unable to learn what changes to expect or when they might take effect.
