PM introduces 30-day moratorium on large ICT procurement in public sector
Latvian Prime Minister Andris Kulbergs has imposed a 30-day ban on large information and communication technology procurements in the public sector, with exceptions only for critical infrastructure, cybersecurity, and emergencies.

Prime Minister Andris Kulbergs has introduced a 30-day moratorium on large ICT procurement in the public sector. Until the end of July, ministries are prohibited from ordering new expensive developments and advancing major European projects if the contract amount exceeds 142,000 euros.
Exceptions are made only for critically important infrastructure, cybersecurity matters, and emergency situations. This was announced on the program “Let's discuss in the evening” on LSM.lv.
