Prime Minister Kulbergs Escapes Politics at American Car Festival in Estonia

From July 10 to 12, the coastal town of Haapsalu, Estonia, hosted the annual “American Beauty Summer Meet”, attracting hundreds of owners of classic and modern American cars. Among the participants was Latvian Prime Minister Andris Kulbergs, who told Jauns.lv that the event was a great opportunity to take a break from his political duties.

Kulbergs arrived at the festival in his classic “Dodge Challenger 440 SixPack”. On Instagram, he wrote: “Thank you, Haapsalu’s ‘American Beauty Car Meet’ – it was a great weekend, and a pleasure to participate again, as always. The best American car event in the Baltics and possibly the whole region!” He also humorously mentioned that he almost hit Estonian President Alar Karis, who was holding Latvian ice cream.

Andris Kulbergs has a strong background in the automotive industry – before entering politics, he held leadership positions at several car businesses, including “Auto Torino” and “Inchcape”, and chaired the Latvian Automobile Association. He became Prime Minister on May 28, 2026, when the Saeima approved his coalition government, consisting of the “United List”, the National Alliance, the Union of Greens and Farmers, and “New Unity”.
