The LHF President's Cup youth tournament concluded in Piņķi, with the final pitting Latvia's U20 'White' team against the second squad of Finnish club TUTO. The Finnish side celebrated a convincing 5:0 win.

The first period saw an altercation on the ice, with the referee handing out two minor penalties to each team, though no goals were scored in that opening frame.

Early in the second period, Emil Valila opened the scoring for the Finnish side. Latvia's young players then struggled with discipline in this stretch, taking three penalties while no TUTO player was sent to the box.

The third period also opened with a quick Finnish goal, this time scored by Hugo Rikilä. Latvia managed to earn two power-play opportunities within six minutes but failed to convert either. Instead, Emil Valila struck again for Finland. Latvia was later shorthanded twice more, and on both occasions TUTO capitalized, with Valtteri Karnaranta and Joona Korhonen finding the net.

Latvia's goalkeeper Ivans Kufterins made 28 saves on 33 shots, a save percentage of 84.9%. Latvia's team registered 21 shots on the opposing goal.
