President Rinkēvičs: NATO 3.0 and US-controlled uncertainty; admits 'I was also lied to' and 'it has been bothering me for over a year'
In an interview with "Kas notiek Latvijā?", President Edgars Rinkēvičs reflects on his third year in office, discussing NATO's evolution, US policy, domestic challenges, and public perception.

President Edgars Rinkēvičs, who will mark three years in office on July 8, gave an interview to the program "Kas notiek Latvijā?" at the end of the season.
He admitted that he had not planned to send so many laws back to the Saeima for reconsideration. The president also commented on public evaluation of his work, without specifying figures.
Regarding international security, Rinkēvičs highlighted the NATO 3.0 concept and the "controlled uncertainty" exercised by the US, which affects the alliance's stability. He stressed that the situation in Ukraine remains serious and requires international attention.
On domestic policy, the president mentioned that some issues have been bothering him for more than a year, adding that "I was also lied to." He also outlined plans for his final year in term, though without providing details.
