Prime Day Brings Great Deals on 4K TVs

Amazon Prime Day is one of the best times to buy a new TV, along with the periods leading up to the Super Bowl and Black Friday. While 2026 models have been released, most of the best deals are on last year's TVs. According to The Verge's reviewer John Higgins, TV quality has improved so little year over year that there's no need to worry about missing out. Even last year's OLED models can outperform some new RGB LED TVs.
TV Deals
One of the best deals is the TCL QM6K 65-inch model at $527.99 on Amazon and Walmart, with Best Buy pricing it just $2 more. It's excellent for gaming, supporting up to 4K/144Hz and 1080p/288Hz with VRR and low input lag. While not the brightest TCL model, it's sufficient in a light-controlled room.
The LG C5 is a midrange OLED that offers great performance without a top-tier price. It has good brightness, accurate color out of the box, and gaming features including a 144Hz refresh rate.
The Sony A95L 77-inch QD-OLED is 23% off at $3,498 on Walmart and $3,499 at Best Buy. It boasts incredible picture quality thanks to Sony's processing and has been a multi-year winner of the Value Electronics TV Shootout. This is the lowest price seen.
The TCL QM8K is the best value in TCL's 2025 lineup and still holds its own against 2026 TVs.
The Hisense U8QG 75-inch is $1,299 at Amazon and Best Buy, with a 100-inch version at $2,220 from Best Buy. It was the brightest TV Higgins tested, exceeding 5,000 nits. HDR performance is excellent, and it handles ambient light well. Gaming features include AMD FreeSync Premium Pro VRR up to 165Hz, Dolby Vision, and good motion handling. However, it has only three HDMI 2.1 ports; the fourth is USB-C DisplayPort.
The Samsung S90F is a premium OLED with a 120Hz panel, four HDMI 2.1 ports, and access to game streaming via Samsung Gaming Hub.
Streaming Device Deals
The Amazon Fire TV Stick HD is available for $15.99 (54% off). This 1080p stick has a smaller design and can be powered via a TV's USB port. The new Fire TV OS is faster and better organized.
The Google TV Streamer 4K is priced at $74.99, the lowest ever. It's ideal for those wanting Google TV OS, especially if they are in the Google smart home ecosystem.
