Prince George, the eldest son of the Prince and Princess of Wales, will begin his studies at Eton College, marking a new chapter in his life. Founded in 1440 by King Henry VI, Eton has become a symbol of elite British education, with a history spanning more than five centuries.
The school has educated over 20 British prime ministers, numerous aristocrats and royal family members, as well as famous actors and writers. Eton is a boarding school for boys aged 13 to 18, meaning Prince George will experience life away from home for the first time.
With around 1,300 pupils, Eton consists of more than 20 boarding houses. Each student typically has their own room, but daily life is structured with schedules, discipline, and traditions. The curriculum is broad, including classical subjects, modern languages, sports, arts, and theater.
Prince George's enrollment continues a family tradition, as his father, Prince William, and other royals have also attended Eton.
