Prince Harry wants to return home, but Meghan says 'no' – marriage in crisis

Prince Harry, the Duke of Sussex, is said to be obsessed with the idea of returning to the UK, but his wife Meghan Markle rejects the plan, creating a serious crisis in their marriage, according to British royal experts.

In early July, Harry, along with his wife and their two children – seven-year-old Prince Archie and five-year-old Princess Lilibet – visited the UK for a private meeting with King Charles III and Queen Camilla. It was their first such visit in four years.

Kevin O'Sullivan, host of "TalkTV" and a royal expert, told "Sky News Australia" that Harry longs for a hybrid model – partly residing in the UK for official events and partly living in the US. This model was categorically forbidden by the late Queen Elizabeth II, who stated there would be no compromise.

O'Sullivan believes that King Charles, being soft-hearted and wanting to see his grandchildren, would likely agree to an arrangement allowing Harry's family to freely travel between the two countries. However, other senior royals – Prince William, who effectively runs the monarchy, as well as Camilla, Princess Anne, and Prince Edward – are said to be firmly against it.

Moreover, Harry is worried about polls showing his and Meghan's popularity has significantly declined in both the US and the UK. According to O'Sullivan, this is why Harry desperately seeks to reclaim part of his former life and fame in his homeland.

Meghan, on the other hand, sees their future as a classic "American Dream" and refuses to return to the UK, causing serious tension and friction between the couple, O'Sullivan adds.
