Pro-Kremlin activists from Baltic states flee to Belarus for propaganda mission
A Lithuanian activist facing trial and a controversial Latvian politician unexpectedly traveled to Minsk in early May to conduct propaganda activities.

In early May, Antanas Kandrotas, a Lithuanian activist awaiting trial, suddenly left for Minsk and appeared in Belarus alongside Alexei Roslikov, a controversial Latvian politician. The two first met during the COVID-19 pandemic and, together with like-minded individuals in Estonia, helped organize pro-Kremlin movements. Their activities are focused on a propaganda mission in Belarus, taking advantage of their flight from legal proceedings and political pressure in the Baltic states.
