Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) beat Troyes 1-0 at home in round nine of the French top football league, Ligue 1. The win keeps PSG top of the table with 23 points after 10 matches.
How the match unfolded
The hosts took control from the opening minutes. In the fourth minute Senny Mayulu broke into a shooting position, but Troyes goalkeeper Hillel Konaté saved the effort, and two minutes later he again denied Mayulu. Konaté also kept out attempts by Ferran Torres in the 38th and 45th minutes, and again during stoppage time in the first half.
PSG did take the lead in the 39th minute. After a cross from Mayulu, Zabarnyi headed the ball into the left corner of the goal from close range to make it 1-0.
In the second half PSG continued to dominate, while Troyes looked for chances on the counterattack. In the 54th minute visiting forward Renaud Ripart shot just wide of the right post from inside the box. The Parisians responded with several attacks: in the 59th minute Warren Zaïre-Emery headed narrowly wide, and in the 68th minute Konaté saved a shot by Torres from the centre of the penalty area.

In the 83rd minute the ball ended up in the PSG net after a shot by Lucas Margueron, but the goal was ruled out for offside. Troyes could not find another way through, and PSG took the win.
