PSP classic Lumines arrives on iOS and Android
The remastered puzzle game Lumines is now available on mobile devices, featuring a free trial and multiple control options.

The remastered version of the classic PSP puzzle game Lumines has made its way to iOS and Android smartphones and tablets. Originally released in 2018, the game was previously available on PC, consoles, and Amazon Luna's cloud platform.
In Lumines, players rotate and move 2x2 blocks of different colors to form larger squares or rectangles of a single hue. A "timeline" sweeps horizontally across the grid to the beat of the music, clearing completed shapes. This mechanic creates a unique connection between gameplay and audio.
Developed by Enhance, the original studio, in collaboration with publisher Sound Games, the mobile port offers multiple touch control options as well as gamepad support. The game includes over 40 levels and a soundtrack featuring house, trance, and techno tracks.
Several game modes are available, including local multiplayer on the same device and online leaderboards. The mobile version includes a free trial covering the first few levels and a time attack mode. The full game currently costs $8, with a regular price of $10. For comparison, the PC and console versions are priced at $15.
The soundtrack has recently been added to music streaming services and is also available for digital purchase. In addition, Enhance released a new Lumines game last fall called Lumines Arise, which is described as visually striking, similar to the studio's Tetris Effect.
