The Consumer Rights Protection Centre (PTAC) has drawn attention to the fact that tour operator “Digitours” filed for insolvency in August 2026. Given this development, the centre urges travellers not to buy trips offered by “Digitours”, PTAC said.

PTAC itself informed the LETA news agency about the situation. An insolvency filing indicates that the company’s ability to meet its obligations to customers is under threat. Therefore, consumers planning travel should be especially cautious and assess the risks before paying for any travel services. PTAC stresses that making new purchases under such circumstances may involve a significant risk of losing prepaid money.

The centre notes that in these situations there is a possibility that the trip will not be provided or that payment may be lost. Residents are therefore advised to follow current information and, if necessary, look for alternative providers of tourism services. Travellers are also encouraged to carefully review contract terms and possible protection mechanisms before making any payments.

The purpose of the warning is to protect travellers from potential financial losses and inconvenience. PTAC is providing the public with information about the situation so that everyone can make a well-considered decision.
