New allegations before the season opener
Hallie Aiono, ex-girlfriend of Los Angeles Rams wide receiver Puka Nacua and mother of his son Kingston, posted a TikTok video on Monday claiming she experienced "extreme betrayal, abuse, [and] complete neglect" from Nacua last year. According to the New York Post, Aiono said in the video that publicly known events had affected her mental health, but that what happened privately was what truly broke her. The video went viral before Aiono deleted it from her account; neither her legal team nor Nacua's have responded to requests for comment on why, and the clip continues to circulate on other social platforms.
Per the New York Post, Nacua had previously had Aiono undergo a paternity test to confirm the child was his, and the two have accused each other of infidelity during their relationship.
Civil lawsuit and NFL review
Separately, Nacua is the defendant in a civil lawsuit filed by Madison Atiabi, who alleges he bit her shoulder during a New Year's Eve 2025 party. Nacua's attorney denies the allegations, describing the incident as "horseplay." Fox News reports that a Los Angeles County judge has set the civil trial for March 27, 2028, and that no criminal charges have been filed. Nacua reportedly checked into rehab following Atiabi's allegations.
The NFL is reviewing Nacua's situation under its Personal Conduct Policy. He was not placed on the Commissioner's Exempt List, unlike three other players recently disciplined for offseason legal trouble — San Francisco 49ers owner Jed York, Baltimore Ravens receiver Rashod Bateman, and Rams offensive tackle Alaric Jackson. However, Fox News notes this does not mean Nacua has avoided discipline: the league has no firm deadline for a conduct policy decision before the season, and punishment could still come even after the season begins.

Nacua is currently expected to be available for Week 1, though that status could change at any time. The Rams open their season on September 10 in Australia against the San Francisco 49ers.
