Military helicopter seen escorting Putin's motorcade en route to Chelyabinsk region
A video filmed by a driver stuck in traffic shows a military helicopter escorting Vladimir Putin's car convoy on its way to the Chelyabinsk region, where military exercises were taking place.
Footage has surfaced online showing a military helicopter accompanying Russian President Vladimir Putin's motorcade from the air during a recent trip. The video was recorded by a driver who found himself stopped in a traffic jam at the time.
The clip shows traffic being held back on a highway while a large convoy of vehicles speeds past at high velocity. Overhead, a military helicopter can be seen flying above the road, appearing to escort the motorcade for the entire visible stretch of the journey.
The convoy was reportedly traveling to the Chelyabinsk region, where military exercises were being held at the time. The heightened security presence and the resulting road closures are linked to this visit to the training exercises.
